500Wh to 2kWh
Mid-range power stations between 500Wh and 2kWh cover the sweet spot for most off-grid users. With enough capacity to run a fridge for a day, power a CPAP machine through the night or keep a full van kitchen going over a long weekend, these units balance portability with serious usable capacity. LFP battery chemistry features across most of this range, giving you 3,000 or more charge cycles before any noticeable capacity degradation. Most can accept solar input of 400W or more, making them genuinely self-sufficient when paired with the right panels.
2kWh and Above
Power stations above 2kWh are built for users who need serious, sustained energy capacity. From running power tools on a building site with no mains access to providing multi-day backup for a home during an extended outage, these units handle loads that smaller stations cannot. Many are expandable further with add-on battery modules, and the largest in our range are suitable as the centrepiece of a whole-home backup system. Grid-Tied Inverters
Grid-tied inverters convert the DC output of your solar panels into AC power that feeds directly into your home's electrical system or back to the grid. MPPT Controllers
MPPT stands for Maximum Power Point Tracking, and these controllers represent the most efficient way to connect solar panels to a battery. By continuously adjusting the electrical operating point of the panels, an MPPT controller extracts significantly more energy than a PWM unit, particularly in partial shade, low light or cold conditions. The efficiency gain is typically between 10% and 30% depending on conditions, making MPPT the right choice for almost every fixed or semi-fixed installation. We stock Victron SmartSolar and BlueSolar MPPT units covering a wide range of panel voltages and battery configurations.
PWM Controllers
PWM controllers are the simpler, lower-cost option for solar charge regulation. They work by connecting the solar panel directly to the battery once the panel voltage is close to the battery voltage, pulsing the connection on and off to regulate charging. While less efficient than MPPT in most conditions, PWM controllers are reliable, long-lasting and perfectly adequate for small 12V systems such as garden lighting, gate openers and trickle-charging setups where panel and battery voltages are closely matched.

Reliable cables and connectors are the foundation of any well-built solar or battery system. Poor quality wiring is one of the most common causes of system underperformance and, in worst cases, a fire risk.
