60A 12V Intelligent Multi-Stage Mains Battery Charger

This 60A 12V automatic multi-stage mains battery charger is designed to safely and efficiently charge a 12V battery or battery bank from a mains power source (220-240V AC) without requiring constant supervision. The mains charger features an advanced 7-stage charging process that ensures faster and more efficient charging, while also eliminating the risk of voltage fluctuations. This unit can charge either a single 12V battery or multiple 12V batteries connected in parallel (provided that the batteries are of the same type, capacity, and age). Additionally, this mains battery charger is compatible with Lead Acid batteries, including AGM, Gel, and Wet cell batteries.

The charger can be safely left unattended for automatic charging because it has built-in safety functions to protect against DC short circuit, overheating, overcharging, and reverse polarity of the battery. The charging voltage is smooth and uninterrupted, with no peaks. The charger will continue operating even while the battery is being used, and it will maintain the charge if the battery is already at full capacity. Additionally, it has a boost-charging feature that can improve battery condition and recover lost capacity from older batteries, ultimately increasing battery life and preventing premature battery failure.

 Dead battery recovery: The desulphation stage can break down sulphation that occurs in batteries which have been left flat for extended periods of time, returning them back to full charge. Automatic temperature control: to maintain an optimal internal temperature, the inbuilt fan is automatically enabled when a high temperature or charging current is detected. 

LCD Display: shows vital information regarding the charging process (charging voltage, charging current, different charging stages). LED lights also indicate the battery type. Power pack function: can provide a direct supply of power to a 12V load (e.g. 12V fridge) with no battery connected (e.g. during battery replacement).

This charger includes a 1.5m mains AC cable with a UK 3-pin plug, battery cable, and spare fuses. The operating voltage range (AC) is 190V - 265V at full capacity with a frequency of 50 Hz. The DC output current is 50A, and the DC output voltage is 12V. It is suggested for use with battery capacities ranging from 100Ah to 400Ah. The bulk/absorption charging voltage ranges from 14.2V to 14.8V DC depending on the battery type, while the float charging voltage ranges from 13.2V to 13.8V depending on the battery type. The efficiency is less than 88%. It operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C and comes with an inbuilt fan and isolated DC output. The dimensions are 226 x 175 x 95 mm, and the weight is 2.5 kg.
